Had a cafe hopping session with my long lost hipster buddy @sour_mermaids at one-north. Discovered the cafe while reading @ladyironchef ‘s post on cafes in the west Initially we were aiming to head to Hoopla Cafe & Bakery, but we reached at 2pm and realised they were having a private event, some xiaoboy birthday party. I wasn’t aware of it even though i checked their facebook page few hours before. I later found out that they only notified it on their instagram. However, we saw there was another cafe located side by side – Revolution Coffee, so we went there instead. I was told that we need to wait 1 to 1.5hrs for food. I just decided to settled for drinks, while we wait for Hoopla to resume its operations from 3-6pm. Affogato from Revolution Coffee – a great choice for coffee lovers. It comes with oats and an espresso charge to keep you energised. The bitterness really gave me some shockwaves I’d say. At least in the end, we got what we’ve came for. I read about how affordable the cafe is. Well at least the waffles are worth it. The buttermilk waffles only cost $4, with an addition of $3.50 for an ice cream. We had the waffles with Caramel sauce, the texture of the waffles was just right, one must try it for themselves to experience it. The savoury Carbonara came with an awesome sauce and chewy penne pasta. It was satisfying. The area around media centre is great for weekends with little traffic, so we could play around with photoshoots. Cheers to more days of hell in Maju camp, and i hope i grow some hair.
