Situated at Big Ben Hotel, the Froth cafe is a english cafe found at the basement at the hotel, it can be spacious at quiet most of the time, which gives the patrons their desired peace and therefore it a great place to chillout or if you are looking for a place to talk serious business.
It a few hundred meters away from Dhoby Ghaut and Bugis, both train stations are able to reach the eatery.
I had a creamy cabonara for my main. The sauce was appetizing.
This place left me an impression. We were welcomed by staffs that we usually won’t expect to see in a typical cafe. A middle age woman around early 30s, and a mainland lady that was not fluent in English. It made me felt like the cafe is unique and has social responsibility just like how the fastfood chains does, by hiring people with different kind of backgrounds and age, regardless whether they have disabilities or any form of jargons.
This is the main catch that most customers came for. The raved taro waffles. You get to choose the ice cream topping, which for me, it was Earl Grey. The ice cream had a perfect level of sweetness and it brings the earl grey scent out, melts in your mouth and gives your mind a wave of relaxation. The proportion is pretty big, suitable for 2 persons if you are taking i as a dessert. Otherwise, it could be your lunch/dinner. I do highly recommend this dessert, comfort food is good.
